We always seek things that are unfamiliar to us. As what they would always say, “Curiosity kills the cat.” Love may be a common thing in this world, (Try asking a seven-year old kid, they might give you a clear definition of love) there are still things that are beyond the grasp of our human minds. Love, mysteriously evolves everyday and we are always caught off-guard of its mystic; we sometimes feel that it’s there, but in the end, we realized that it was all just an illusion. We hope too much on things like love and more often than not, that longing outgrows us and eventually we tend to lose ourselves. We put so much effort in searching and soliciting attention from other people, hoping for love, without realizing we are doing it without knowing the true feeling of being loved by ourselves. We don’t really have the biggest family in the world nor the closest ones. My father came from a large family but we are somewhat distant because we live afar from each other. Besides, my father works in abroad so we couldn’t really reach them out that often. On the contrary, my mother has a small family. We are somehow close to each other because we’re just practically neighbors. Aside from these, my grandma in father’s side and grandfather in my mother’s side died before I was even born so I didn’t get the chance to meet them.
In our own small family, we aren’t that close either. We have a considerably large age gap between me and my siblings. We don’t really talk that much and if so, it will most probably end up in arguing and throwing whatever things we can grab to each other.
We fight even in the tiniest and silliest things and my mom would always end up being the referee. But in spite of the aforementioned flaws of my family, I could still proudly say that I have the best imperfect family in the world and that I wouldn’t want to trade them for anything.
I can’t really think about the best dream I ever had because there was a recent dream of mine that I can’t really get off my mind. I don’t know what it meant and I’m very curious about it.
Typically before I sleep, I think a lot. And the last person that I thought about is someone special to me. But how did this schoolmate of mine appear in my dream? It would be very obvious if I state his name, so I better not. Anyway, here’s the story.
We were just in school, attending an event. We were eating that time and I don’t know how it happened, but we suddenly held hands together while walking. So our friends were shocked because they all know we had our different own lives. But he explained to everyone that there’s just something he wanted to say to me.
AND IT WAS ALL ABOUT HIS FEELINGS FOR ME. Continue reading
This is the magnificent family that I have.
We all have blood Type O except for my grandparents and my half sister, our eldest, Ernalyn.
My paternal grandmother came from Jolo, Sulu and is a Tausug, so I’m partly Tausug, too. My grandfather, her husband, passed away because of diabetes while my maternal grandparents are still alive and strong, living in a peaceful farm in Pagadian City.
My sister Rheena is already in her fourth year in BS Accountancy at La Salle University, Ozamis City and is hoping to graduate by next year. We are both young journalists so we have already been to various places because of writing.
I am the youngest, the superb massager of the family and the only member inclined to music. My father is a high school head teacher, radio announcer, boxing official and a ROTC instructor.
We are the type of family who talks and laughs very loud, loves to watch animal channels, sleeps very late at night to the extent that we still burn up the lights while other houses are already quiet and asleep, washes our own clothes individually and takes our own daily routine as part of house chores. ❤
