The Love That Was Never Ours

Processed with VSCO with c1 presetI can’t really think about the best dream I ever had because there was a recent dream of mine that I can’t really get off my mind. I don’t know what it meant and I’m very curious about it.

Typically before I sleep, I think a lot. And the last person that I thought about is someone special to me. But how did this schoolmate of mine appear in my dream? It would be very obvious if I state his name, so I better not. Anyway, here’s the story.

We were just in school, attending an event. We were eating that time and I don’t know how it happened, but we suddenly held hands together while walking. So our friends were shocked because they all know we had our different own lives. But he explained to everyone that there’s just something he wanted to say to me.

AND IT WAS ALL ABOUT HIS FEELINGS FOR ME. Continue reading

Erudite Explosion Potion

Processed with VSCO with 4 presetMany of us students suffer the same thing: we burn our eyebrows and bury our noses at the depths of our books and notes in attempt to retain the information in our minds. We follow various rituals to stay wide awake and remain awake. With this dilemma, a bright idea popped in my mind. How about, we make ourselves a potion? Continue reading

Tree of One’s Family #1

IMG_20160224_121114

This is the magnificent family that I have.

We all have blood Type O except for my grandparents and my half sister, our eldest, Ernalyn.

My paternal grandmother came from Jolo, Sulu and is a Tausug, so I’m partly Tausug, too. My grandfather, her husband, passed away because of diabetes while my maternal grandparents are still alive and strong, living in a peaceful farm in Pagadian City.

My sister Rheena is already in her fourth year in BS Accountancy at La Salle University, Ozamis City and is hoping to graduate by next year. We are both young journalists so we have already been to various places because of writing.

I am the youngest, the superb massager of the family and the only member inclined to music. My father is a high school head teacher, radio announcer, boxing official and a ROTC instructor.

We are the type of family who talks and laughs very loud, loves to watch animal channels, sleeps very late at night to the extent that we still burn up the lights while other houses are already quiet and asleep, washes our own clothes individually and takes our own daily routine as part of house chores. ❤

The News

Processed with VSCO with 4 presetOftentimes, we find ourselves waking up from a horrendous dream that feels so surreal we could almost hear our heart beating so fast in our chest. It then leaves us pondering over it; trying to piece out the puzzles together and contemplating over the terrible scenarios that happened in our minds- the unfathomable nightmare.

I’ve experienced these nightmares countless times. Most of the time, I just really don’t mind it and usually it just naturally slip out of my mind. But I had this horrible dream that instilled in my mind and I couldn’t just forget no matter how hard I try. It goes like this… Continue reading

Mystery Case: Pre-Investigation Story

The air was cold and smelled strongly of coffee as I entered the precinct. The room was buzzed more than usual.

“All hands on deck rookies; make yourself useful.” Sgt. Nygaard said begrudgingly as he handed us a pile of paperwork. Sergeant Nygaard was our attending officer; I am only a trainee and we’ve only been assigned here last month. I reach for the pile and see a file about some fire.

“Why are we investigating a fire? Isn’t that the fire department’s job?” I ask Sergeant Nygaard.

“We’re not investigating the fire. We’re investigating what happened after. Just keep reading rookie.” He replies as he walks back to his desk. I keep on reading and I have to say, it peaked my interest. Continue reading

Mystery Case: The Bouchers – SOLVED

On December 4, 2008, as the Boucher family was fast asleep, a fire erupted on their home. Out of eight family members who were at the house during the time, only four made it out. This had been an intriguing case; mainly because of what the patriarch had discovered the following morning. The remaining four family members, who were said to be left behind, have disappeared. No bodies were found at the site of the fires. Continue reading
